Who we are

Vodel (“we”, “our”, “us”) is a simple day-counter app available on Android, iOS and Web.

What we collect

• Account data: email address (if you sign in) to create and secure your account.
• App content: counters you create (titles, dates, settings). This is private to your account.
• Device & app info (non-identifying): basic diagnostics such as app version and platform to keep the app running reliably.

We do not collect precise location, contacts, photos, or payment info.

How we use data

• Provide core features (create/sync counters across devices).
• Authenticate you and keep your account secure.
• Fix bugs, prevent abuse, and improve performance.

Third-party services

We use Google Firebase to operate the app:

• Firebase Authentication — sign-in and account management.
• Cloud Firestore — stores your counters securely.

Firebase acts as our data processor and stores data in Google Cloud. Google’s security certifications apply to that infrastructure.

Data sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with service providers that help us deliver the app (e.g., Firebase), under data-processing terms. We may disclose data if required by law or to protect our rights and users.

Security

All traffic uses HTTPS. Firebase provides encryption at rest and in transit. We restrict access to production data and review access periodically.

Retention

Your counters are retained while your account is active. If you delete content or your account, we delete or anonymise associated data within a reasonable period, subject to legal obligations and backups.

Your choices & rights

• Access & export: you can view your data in the app; email us for an export.
• Correction: edit counters any time.
• Deletion: request account deletion by emailing vodelapp@gmail.com. We’ll verify the request and erase associated data.
• Consent: you can use the app without sign-in (limited sync). If you sign in, you consent to processing as described here.

Children

Vodel is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

International transfers

Data may be processed in countries where Firebase operates. We rely on standard contractual measures and Google’s security practices.

Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be highlighted here. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
